This months training covered Chemical Spills.  Firefighter P.J. Cristler conducted a great 3 day class for all crews.  A drill was created simulating a large spill of hazardous materials into a creek, moving towards the city of Bryant.  Our job was to contain the material, and allowing the water to continue to flow.  We spent the morning reviewing power points and a small inside scenario. The afternoon, a larger scale of what we covered was completed at a local creek.  using several PVC pipes. The objective was to continue the flow of water in the creek, while containing the product that was on the surface of the water. This was a great training exercise and continue to check back as see what is happening with our training.
